Privacy Policy
Who we are
Topoform is an irrigation-design tool, currently in a private beta. The service is operated by [operator: to be specified]. If you have any question about your data, write to [contact: to be specified].
This page is written in plain language, not legal boilerplate. It describes what the beta actually does with your data today.
What we collect
- Your email address, which you give us to sign in. Topoform is passwordless — the email is your identity; we never ask for or store a password.
- The projects you create: the design document (plot outline, sprinklers, pipes, zones and equipment) and any background image you upload (for example a plan or an aerial photo of your plot).
- An action log of what you do in the app: which action you took, when, and in which project. This is the same mechanism that lets the app save your work and undo/redo it.
- Basic technical server logs (for example request times and error traces) that any web service keeps to stay online and get fixed when something breaks.
- How you first found us, if you arrived through the product site and did not decline analytics: the campaign labels (
utm_*) and ad-click ids (gclid, yclid) of the link you followed, the external page that referred you (without its query string), the first page you landed on and the date. The site keeps this in a cookie for 90 days; when you sign in, it is stored once with your account and never overwritten. We use it to tell which campaigns bring people who actually use Topoform. See the Cookie policy.
Analytics
We use two third-party analytics tools to understand how people find and use the beta:
- Yandex Metrica, on both the English and Russian versions of the site.
- Google Analytics 4, on the English version only.
These tools set their own cookies and collect usage statistics. We do not send your email address or your project contents to them — they only see anonymous usage and navigation.
On your first visit the site shows a cookie banner. On the English and Russian versions analytics starts right away and you can decline it there; declining turns both tools off on the site and in the app and stops recording how you found us. Your choice is kept in a cookie for 180 days. The Cookie policy lists every cookie.
Why we collect it
- To run the service and let you sign in.
- To save your projects and let you restore them across devices and sessions.
- To improve the product by seeing where people get stuck.
- To measure the acquisition funnel (how many people who open the site go on to design something).
Where your data is stored
Your account and projects are stored on a server in [server_location: to be specified].
How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as you have an account. There is no "delete my account" button in the app yet — if you want your account and projects deleted, email [contact: to be specified] and we will remove them.
Invite links
You can create an invite link to one of your projects. Anyone who opens that link and signs in gets their own editable copy of the project. Before they sign in, they only see the project name and how many objects it has (sprinklers and zones) — never the design itself, your email, or your identity. The background image is included in the copy only if you tick that option when creating the link. You can revoke a link at any time.
Beta pricing
Subscription tiers shown in the app are part of a test. No money is charged and no payment details are collected during the beta.
